1-Cut a piece of clear acetate larger than the aperture. Center the acetate over the back of the cutout and adhere the acetate to the cardstock.

2-Add a double layer of foam tape around the entire border of the aperture, making sure that there aren’t any gaps where pieces of filler could work their way through after the card is assembled.

3-Remove the backing from the foam tape. Then, put the sequins in the center of a piece of Centura Pearl cardstock slightly larger and  line up the topper over the sequins and press down firmly.
4- Add another layer of blue cardstock and finally affix to the blank.

Colorful Christmas

Hello Crafters !

I hope you had a lovely weekend Today's project is a simple but full of colour Christmas Card. I used distress inks to make the background in a Neenah card and I ran the blade of my scissors down the edge of the paper to give it a distress look. Finally I added die cuts from the beautiful Sara Signature Contemporary Christmas Collection.

Hope you like it

Shopping List

Distress Inks:
*Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmelade, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers
Seasonal Sentiment and Stylish Tree dies from Sara Signature Collection
Nennah Card
Sponge Dabbers
White Ribbon
Golden Mirri Card
Crafts Essentials

I flicked tiny water drops over the background for extra depth . The drops cause the water-based ink to run just a little and form an interesting watermark-like ‘texture’ effect.

I added extra dimension by using  8 layers of the Christmas tree die cut to give it a "chipboard" look.  Give it a try !  Just glue two die cuts together  and stack and adhere remaining layers on top of each other.

Products Used:

Seasonal Sentiment
Stylish Christmas Tree

Distress Inks
Neenah Cardstock
