With Love and Watercolours

The project for today is about one of the crafty things that I enjoy the most, and that is painting with watercolors 😍.

I got my lovely watercolors markers from @DRK_crafts, Idon't usually apply the watercolour direct to my drawing, I just scribble with the marker in an acrylic block or in a clean watercolour palette, then I will try the intensity of the pigment in a scrap paper before adding the color to my project. In this way, I am absolutely sure that the colour applied to my project is the one I am happy with!

I drew the outline of the flowers with the Micron liners with waterproof ink.

For the background, I used the patterned papers from the collection "Let's Celebrate" from First Edition / Trimcraft.

As a final touch, I added on the left side border a piece of delicate lace with small white flowers and pink rhinestones.

Little Princess in Love

Today's project is a simple stepper card layered with bold and contrasting colors, the top layer is a patterned design paper from the beautiful collection of "Oh So Sweet"  from First Edition/ Trimcraft, provided by @drk_crafts, along with the lovely sentiment in gold, and the funky foam used to create the little purple flowers. 

The foiled sentiment just adds a lovely touch to the finish of the card.

Heartfelt Thanks - Flowers

Today I got you a simple card, I love to color my stamped images with watercolor, so this is one of them. I enjoyed creating the card while hearing the beautiful song "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus. I truly think this kind of lyrics can empower women to express themselves, embrace their individuality, and resist social expectations in a healthy way.

I used the basic range of DRK crafts to create this card and Faber Castell watercolor.

Step by Step

1.- Create a base Kinetic Circle blank out of Centura Pearl  Snow White.  Apply  the distress ink Pink Raspberry to the borders  spreading  the ink slightly towards the centre. Die cut the floral panels out of Pink Centura pearl Pastels. Attach to the blank. Add half pearls to the centre of the flowers in the panels.

2. Die cut a the Doily out of the pink pastel Centura Pearl and attach it to a scalloped circle die cut. Affix to the circle panel of the blank.

3.- Die cut two of big size of the  Shabby Rose  Duo Flower petals die out of  pink paper and one Universal Stamen.  Apply distress ink Pink  from the tip to the centre of the petals.  Apply red liner tape across the base.  Take one strip of petals and  affix to the other strip of petals offsetting  the strip to cover the empty spaces. Using a Quilling tool, roll up one stamen then the petals  to form a flower.  Curve the petals downwards  to give it a natural appearance.   Place the flower in a scrap paper  and spray it with the Spray and Stay glue.  Apply the Clear iridescent glitter over the flower. Tap the flower few times to discard the excess. Glue a Half pearl at the centre of the flower.  Attach the flower to the circle panel as shown.-

4.- Stamp the sentiment in a 2,5 cm strip of Sheena Stamping Cardstock with the Worn Lipstick distress ink.  Layer the strip in a pink pastel Centura pearl. Attach to the bottom's  blank as shown.

4.- Die cut the little butterfly out of Centura pearl Snow White. Add pink gems to the butterfly's body. Attach to the right side of the sentiment to finish.

Tacky Glue
Distress Ink Pink Raspberry
Sheena White Stamping Card
Stazone Ink Jet Black

To create the distress embossed background just tap your distress ink pad over the deboss part of the embossing folder before adding the paper and embossing with the die cutting machine. Easy peasy !

Pretty "Foxy" journal
