My first Journal

Hello Everyone!

This is my first handmade Journal, I chose a Gorjuss Theme because I just love it. Also I did some bookmarks with cords and beads to match. I didn't really know what I was going to do with it, exactly, but I love to write and I figured I’d fill it up eventually.

Now... more Gorjuss ! with this bookmark to match the journal.

Wedding Anniversary

Hi everyone!

Just a quick one...Here is  a card for a Wedding anniversary. I made it by using white funky foam in the hearts and what a cool effect. !

I used X-cut dies from #docrafts, alphabet die by X-cut, Sue wilson Orsa border an Tattered lace die for the corners. Also I used Sizzix Square embossing folder and Sheena Douglas Floral embossing folder.

Beaded earrings and my first Shamballa bracelet.

Today I present to you a pair of beaded earrings in 925 silver and my first shamballa bracelet!

This simple yet stunning Shamballa bead bracelet features 8 sparkling crystal  beads, and 8  shiny haematite beads. At the end of each adjustable pull is an  haematite bead accent.

This week I did some jewellery.. and I pretty happy with the results. For this  earrings I used swarovski beads and 925 Silver. They are simple but look really nice.

I just love this bracelet ! The millefiori bracelet's beads are made entirely from glass. The individual millefiori beads are square and flat and covered in tiny flowers of many colours and sizes. Also,  I used preciosa seed beads and swarovski beads. The findings are made of sterling silver. ♫♫

Back from a busy week . Catching up on post, food shopping and other stuff! 

Here's today's card 

For the background I used a white hammered card and I embossed the about 3" with Sizzix square lattice embossing folder. I tied around a floral yellow ribbon and a bow with it.

I cut a medium circle with Xcut Nesting dies and I embossed it with Sheena Douglas Petit Floral folder.

Then, I cut other circle a bit bigger with Spellbinders Nestabilities - Elements - Lacey Circles and the Happy Birthday  die from Presscut in a yellow card.

Finally, I assembled the card as shown using a flower embellishment made from my handmade Cold Porcelain and some crystal drops for the corners!

Jewellery in Cold Porcelain

Hi everyone!

Few weeks ago I did these lovely cold porcelain pendants. Totally hand crafted ( home-made cold porcelain, shaped, stamped, painted and sealed) with an original design. I used Kaisercraft vintage Handwriting Script stamp and I coloured the porcelain with metallic mica powders.

They has been sealed to endure light moisture as well as wear and tear. Also as they are made from cold porcelain they are lightweight and durable.

Homemade Cold Porcelain

I have got several years working with cold porcelain, it has been used in a lot of my projects. The great thing about it is that you can make it yourself, it is easy and cheap. For me is far better than polymer clay.  There is no need to put the cold porcelain in the oven and also its non-toxic!! .The cold porcelain produce very durable results,  is very nice to work with and can be easily coloured.
Some people cook the douhg ! if you want to do it there are plenty of tutorials in youtube..

Ingredients:

• 1 cup (240ml) of cornstarch/ corn flour
• 1 cup (240ml) of PVA glue (PVA for Wood)
• 2 tablespoons of vinegar/ lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons of baby oil
• Hand lotion (use in your hands durng the knead)

There are some tutorials on YouTube demonstrating the stove method. 

Mix together well and knead until smooth and elastic, adding more starch or glue if necessary. Wrap it tightly and store in an airtight container. You can add a little white oil paint , to give it a white colour when it dries. Otherwise, it will be translucent and kind of yellowish if left uncoloured.

 You can start  using it the next day!! Remmenber to use oil paint (colour choice is up to you)  to colour the dough before start modelling.
